Spare parts management is an important task for manufacturing companies in order to ensure lasting customer satisfaction and sustainable use of their products. Vorwerk International & Co. KmG would like to optimize its spare parts management based on data with the help of modern data-driven methods. Historical spare parts deliveries and product sales are to be analysed together using statistical methods and artificial intelligence. Time series forecasting as well as time-to-event analysis and joint and causal learning may also be used to forecast future demand for spare parts and provide a comprehensive assessment of product service life and the causes of defects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The models developed are to be tested as prototypes at Vorwerk International and Vorwerk Germany in Switzerland and Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
